The Islands
Using the same ball of plasticine - oil-based clay - I make hundreds of photographs while hand-manipulating the forms. It is a more intuitive and fast process to collect a lot of images. Certain ones are then selected, printed and shaded over with black and white pencils. They are surrounded by a field of textured molding paste with its peaks rubbed over with pencil to reveal its tumultuous surface - the water surrounding the island.
