The Outskirts  (2012 - 2013)

While living in Los Angeles, I drove out to the natural landscapes found within and around the city to photograph. I created scenes from the ground to the treetops using multiple photos and digitally stitched them together. The area was in the midst of a very long drought at the time. I decided to print them out in organic sections and collage them back together. I then brushed off the ink of the printed paper with water, scrubbing away but also revealing new lines in the imagery and of the collage structure.
