Contemplative Dimensions  (2024 - present)

This body of work is made with ceramics, either on their own, as photographs or in combination with each other, creating a new experience of their dimensionality and presence. The objects consist of multiple outcomes between the 3D and the 2D, viewed on the walls and on pedestals. By having this variety: framed ceramic slabs, prints of ceramic surfaces and abstract objects intertwined with a photographic print of itself, it compares their distinctions and gives the viewer an opportunity to consider this duality of physical objects vs. objects through reproduction. I have an appreciation in both approaches, but also explores how the difference in how we experience them engages our sense of vision in a profound way.
